Wedding Photographer's Blog

Middleton Lodge is a Georgian country estate and a family home. Built-in 1780 by the architect John Carr, it is a classic example of a Palladian country house. The estate is set in 200 acres of the beautiful English countryside, with views across North Yorkshire.

The Fig House, Middleton Lodge

I came to Fig House for a well organised and stunning Suppliers shoot. Although this was in the winter and the garden had yet to blossom I can't wait to return to see this amazing venue in the summer. The photoshoot was designed for suppliers to showcase their stunning talent and a few photographers like myself to capture this and is also nice for me to experiment on some ideas I had. This is a very popular venue for brides and grooms.

This is my second visit to Middleton Lodge, my first visit was for a wedding I did where I was asked to help another photographer to capture the couples day. This was a very memorable wedding for me for many reasons one being it was my first time at this beautiful venue and I always remember the first time I shoot at any wedding venue.

If you have yet to discover this beautiful venue now is the time!

I would like to thank Nicola Dixon who organised this amazing day.

I am looking forward to coming back to Middleton Lodge and yes to the Fig House for a wedding I am doing this summer July 2021. Yes I know COVID has taken another strike and with Lockdown 3 it may even seem that it could not happen and although this is true I have always been a half-cup full type of guy so yes I am feeling positive about this one and for James and Amy's sake too I hope this will go ahead as originally planned.
