Married: 31st December 2019 Location: Durham Venue: South Causey Inn
Most of my wedding couples come through recommendations like Mark & Sarah. On this occasion, it was particularly lovely to hear it was a very good friend of Sarah's, who works in the wedding industry(Rockcliffe Hall to be precise) and she had seen my work and that was enough for her to recommend me (thank you, Ruth)
I love to meet all wedding couples, I think this is very important for us all, so that's exactly what we did. Unfortunately, Mark couldn't make it so it was me, Sarah and her lovely mum. We looked through wedding albums, got chatting about all the plans and visions Sarah had for the day, and with talk like this, it always builds an excitement in me too! Sarah hadn't booked me at this point, it was later that same day I received an email saying " I’d love to have you photograph my wedding".
The Wedding Day
It was New Years Eve, Mark & Sarah's Wedding Day and still no signs of snow it was a lovely bright and warmish day for December. We got to the church in good time. I forgot to say I also had a second photographer accompany me on the day, my good friend Paul who is also a wedding photographer. We have worked for each other several times. The day started at St Joseph’s Church in Sunderland which is a beautiful church, and even more so with there Christmas decorations.
I was over the moon to see the venue in all its glory with Christmas decorations. I always love coming here, the staff are so helpful and accommodating and nothing was to much trouble.
The day was full of fun and laughter which means lots of great shots and full of the love of course!
It is always important to me to make sure all wedding couples have a great day, and I can tell you right now Mark & Sarah or the now Mr & Mrs Robinson, certainly did.
The room is always beautiful, but with the Christmas decorations, it was even more special and made for a perfect backdrop for the speeches. I got to say all 3 speeches where on point. We had it all, head in hands, cheering, that belly laughter, red faces, great story from childhood to...
