Married: 3rd August 2019 Location: Richmond, North Yorkshire Venue: Georgian Theatre
Maria first contacted early 2019 and we arranged to meet and discuss there wedding at there home address in Ingleby Barwick, where I'd say we just got on straight away, so to hear they wanted me to be their wedding photographer was fantastic, especially as I haven't been and done a wedding at the Georgian Theatre, so its always exciting to go to a new venue especially Georgian Theatre the oldest theater in the England.
Georgian Theatre, North Yorkshire: Wedding Day
The Day started at Maria's home address in Middleton Tyas, just outside of Richmond. It was a beautiful and warm summers day, their home was where the most of the day would be as they had a marquee for everyone to return after the ceremony in Georgian Theatre, with a large garden and lawn games to entertain everyone the weather couldn't be better.
Wedding Day, Bridal Preparation
It was very calm and relaxed at Maria's family home, upstairs in one of the bedrooms they had their hairdresser set up and downstairs in the light conservatory, they were doing there makeup. With a light and airy home, I set to work with there photos this normally includes details of Marias, rings, flowers, perfume, jewellery and any other items she had chosen to be using or even wearing.
I arrived earlier as I worried about going into Richmond and not finding a parking space so by staring earlier I was free to leave sooner and luckily I had just found a space and I only had to drive around the car park twice.
This was a new venue for me, so I had come a few weeks before, getting to know the Theater well, so I wasn't going to get lost as there were lots of doors and options to get around. It was such a lovely place to have a wedding ceremony so romantic, special and different in such a great lovely way of course.
A Wonderful Garden Wedding
Back at there home in their beautiful garden everyone was having a great time, being entertained by the kids being just "kids", their lawn games were very popular, and no matter how hard I tried there was two men who refused to be captured as a candid moment and pulled a different pose every time I thought they weren't looking, but I did eventually catch them off guard, I think they turned this into a game for themselves.
The food was amazing I was lucky enough to be offered some by Maria and Craig and from the canapes to desert it all tasted as good as it looked.
I love being part of any wedding, but when it becomes so personal to bring there wedding into there family home, this just means so much to them and it creates a beautiful atmosphere, that you could feel throughout the day, and I loved being part of it so to Mary and Craig Thank you.
If you haven’t seen much of my work yet I would describe my style as a documentary wedding photographer, I want my photos to take you back to that moment and that time and remind you how you beautiful day unfolded (as if you would forget).
