Married: 30th July 2019 Location: Northumberland Venue: Woodhill Hall
My first and hopefully not my last time I come to photograph a wedding, hear at the beautiful Woodhill Hall, in Northumberland. Today's wedding was for Ross and Alwyn. As always I set off early, this was a long journey and I didn't want to get stuck in traffic and be delayed, this also allows me to walk around a new venue to get to know the area and my options for there couple portraits.
The Wonderfull Woodhill Hall Wedding Day, Groom Preparation
Today the weather was timed for Ross & Alwyn as all morning it had been overcast and rained constantly but when the wedding part of the day started the weather just changed completely, the clouds parted and the rain stopped. All wedding are different and sometimes when it comes to the same-sex wedding the couple want to be separated until the ceremony but Ross and Alwyn wanted to be together when getting ready, with pictures of there suits and the other wedding details like aftershave and shoes...
It was time for them to get changed, there were lovely moments of themselves helping each other and a pleasure to capture calm moments like this, I can honestly say this is the most, relaxed and calming place, for any wedding preparations I have ever seen or witness.
The wedding ceremony was also held at Woodhill Hall, and with the weather being on their side it was outside overlooking the beautiful scenery. This Was a very intermate wedding in many ways, but for them to share this day with only four other people, this being there parents made it so much more personal and loving to everyone, it wasn't about anything other than them, and the ones they loved the most.
With so many options inside and out we were spoilt for choice, and with so many ideas that they both up to trying, the time just flew by, and It was great to hear their feedback with there experience with me as there wedding photographer. As we had finished we went inside to do the cake cutting photo and the rain started to come down it was timed perfectly for there lovely day. I woke up thinking this may be a wet wedding but turns out the weather was on there side all day.
If you haven’t seen much of my work yet, I would describe my style as a documentary wedding photographer, I want my photos to take you back to that moment and that time and remind you how you beautiful day unfolded (as if you would forget).
