Well let's get straight into it, Wedding Fair, I love doing wedding fairs for one major reason and that's to meet couples and for them to meet me, I think it is important you feel comfortable with your photographer, and that you get on as well as being happy with there style of photography, after all, we will be spending all day with each on one of the most important days in your life.
Alix and Lesley decided to have their engagement photos to take place at the beautiful Jesmond Dene in Newcastle. So we met at the Old Mill, and from there I captured them having fun with my little surprise which I was hoping they would be up for and they were Smoke Bombs!
This not only creates great photos it's a distraction so if you feel less orqued this is a great thing as you focus on the smoke bombs and helps.
Just like most weddings this year, we had to wait for this one with COVID affecting yet another couple, but let's leave that and talk about the good things they did it at the stunning South Causey Inn, at the new Farm House, and I can say with confidence we all loved it. They had done a great job making a sunning Farmhouse look so amazing, this was the best setting for 2 beautiful brides.
Both Alix & Lesley were getting ready at South Causey Inn for their bridal prep but in separate rooms, which makes it so much easier from my point of view and for them too, it also gives me loads of extra time to capture more of this time of the wedding morning.
Alix came down looking amazing with 2 of the 3 boys, that they have and Lesley came down with her father, and the third boy had the important job too, holding and looking after the rings.
After the wedding, I like to do all the formal photos before the guest starts to disappear then it was on their wedding portraits as a married couple. I wanted to do this early to avoid the rain as we had a few clouds but, I needed not worry as it stayed dry all day. Most couples who get married here love to go to the Lake and these 2 gorgeous ladies were no different, and they loved the smoke bombs from their engagement shoot we did they asked me to bring more and I did!
As you can imagine more guests arrived in time to witness the cake cutting and then the perfect first dance. I love this part of the wedding too as this is when most are at the most relaxed which means great natural moments.
Just before I left they asked me to stay around another hour to capture what looked to be an amazing sunset and I couldn't resist it, and yes it was stunning, and yes I captured it all!
Congratulation once again Alix & Lesley!
Thinking about getting married at the South Causey Inn? I can’t wait to get back here again so please contact me to tell me all about your plans, I would love to capture your wedding day memories.
