I love it here, North Yorkshire really some incredible venues! There’s something special about photographing weddings where everything just clicks—the people, the place, the vibe. Caoimhe and Hayden’s day at Thirsk Lodge Barns was exactly that. Relaxed, full of laughter, and with their beautiful baby girl Eira right at the heart of it all, it was the kind of wedding you come away from smiling.
The venue is always a treat to shoot at Thirsk Lodge Barns nails that modern-rustic charm without feeling too polished. I’ve been lucky enough to work there a few times now, and every visit feels like catching up with an old friend. Speaking of friends, it was great to see Matt the sax player again. He always brings the energy, and it was no different this time—dancing, live sax, and just the right amount of chaos on the dancefloor.
Caoimhe and Hayden were absolute legends all day. From the chilled-out morning vibes to the last bit of sunlight in the fields, they kept things relaxed and real. Eira stole the show more than once—tiny hands, big grins, and a few cuddles that got me in the feels.
Also, a quick shoutout to the wedding party for fully embracing my Meta glasses—they definitely sparked a few curious questions and some laughs! Turns out they’re a solid match for a good wedding crowd.
