Durham WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, Nick Georgiou

Wedding photography is an incredibly important aspect of any wedding. A wedding photographer captures the memories and emotions of one of the most special days of a couple's life, and these photographs will be treasured for years to come. Durham, in the North East of England, is a beautiful and historic city that provides a stunning backdrop and outside Durham has some amazing views too, for any wedding photography. Whether you are looking for traditional, romantic, or creative images, Durham has something to offer every couple.

One of the key factors to consider when choosing a wedding photographer in Durham is style. Some photographers prefer to take a more traditional approach, with posed group shots and portraits, while others may opt for a more documentary style, capturing candid moments and spontaneous events. I am happy to do your traditional family group photos and a couple of poses for you as a couple, other than this my style is more documentary. I love to capture real-life moments and emotions between you and your friends and family. There are also those who specialize in artistic or fine art photography, creating images that are both beautiful and unique. When choosing a photographer, it is important to find one whose style matches your own vision for your wedding day. I would say I am a great mix of them all, if you want to see what that may look like then head over to my galleries to see some of my wedding photography.

Another factor to consider is experience. Durham has a number of talented and experienced wedding photographers like myself, and it is important to choose one who has a proven track record in capturing the essence of a wedding day and your vision. When choosing a photographer first take a look at their work, is it the style you want then that's a great start. This is why I have so many photos in my galleries to make sure you are happy with my style and approach as a wedding photographer. Look at different venues and the lighting and weather conditions. Consider factors such as the number of weddings they have photographed, the types of venues they have worked in, and their overall level of expertise. This can often show in their pricing packages I start a full day from £1,250, and to add a photo album a second photographer and more the price can jump up to £2,000. I believe any cheaper is likely to be for a reason, the biggest one is probably experience or style, style in taking the photos and editing too.

The cost of wedding photography in Durham will also be an important consideration. Prices can vary greatly, and it is important to find a photographer who offers high-quality images at a price that fits within your budget. Some photographers like myself offer a variety of packages that include different levels of coverage, prints, albums and much more.

DURHAM

Durham like most old city have so much to offer from historic buildings and grand estates to picturesque parks and gardens, there are plenty of options for couples who want to capture the beauty of Durham in and surrounding areas. Some of the most popular venues for wedding photography in Durham include Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral. (I am lucky enough to say I have photographed a wedding here at Durham Castle and wow what a venue!)

In addition to the venues themselves, there are also a number of other stunning locations throughout Durham that make for great backgrounds for wedding photographs. The River Wear, which runs through the city, provides a beautiful and natural setting, while the cobbled streets and historic buildings of the city centre offer a more urban feel which is another option.

Finally, it is important to choose a wedding photographer who you feel comfortable with. I say this all the time as I really do think this is so important. I will be with you on your wedding day, capturing some of the most intimate moments of your life, so it is important that you feel at ease with me. I would describe myself as a friendly, approachable, fun photographer and I have a good sense of humour, which helps everyone relax so I can capture the real moments of any wedding day. You should also be able to communicate openly and effectively with me, I like to think that all my wedding couples feel free to contact me at any time and feel free to talk through anything and everything. This helps me work to ensure that your vision for your wedding day is captured in your photographs.

Being a wedding photographer in Durham is a fantastic opportunity for me to capture couples in beautiful and romantic areas like Dalton Old Pump House which is just outside of Durham, it is in a small sea town in Seaham which is in the County Durham. Durham is the perfect place to create beautiful and memorable wedding photographs. Whether you are looking for traditional, romantic, or creative images, there is something for everyone in Durham. So why not consider this historic city for your wedding day and take advantage of all that it has to offer?

FAQ

Is 7 hours enough for a wedding photographer?

Yes, it can be for a small wedding or elopement, it may not capture every part of the day but will capture the main traditions of a wedding.

Do you tip a wedding photographer?

It is not required, but a small thank you in some way can be nice, even a card, or something to show your appreciation can go a long way.
