Relaxed, documentary wedding photography across County Durham. I'm Nick, based just down the road in Stockton on Tees, and I've photographed over 250 weddings in more than 10 years. That includes Beamish Hall, Lumley Castle, tipis at Bradbury Glade and even Durham Castle itself. I'll blend in, capture the real moments as they happen, and give you photos that feel like your day, not a photoshoot.

I know Durham's venues inside out, from the best spots for photos to plan B when the North East weather does its thing. Most of your day I'll be quietly documenting what happens: the nerves, the laughs, the speeches, the dance floor. We'll get your family photos done quickly, then take a short, relaxed wander for photos of the two of you before you're back with your guests. Camera shy? Most couples tell me they are. I'll keep it easy and fun, with no hours of posing.

Durham wedding photography prices
Half day (up to 4 hours) from £1,195. Full day from £1,795. A £300 booking fee secures your date, with the rest due 30 days before your wedding. Albums and a second photographer can be added. View packages.
Travel is included in all my wedding packages, wherever you are in County Durham.
DURHAM
Durham is one of the most beautiful places in the country to get married. You have the Cathedral and the Castle, the River Wear winding through the city, and cobbled streets for a more relaxed city feel.
Outside the city you've got country estates, castles, tipis and barns, so there really is something for every couple. From the coast at Seaham to the dales around Barnard Castle, I cover every corner of County Durham.
Most importantly, you should feel comfortable with your photographer. I'm friendly, easy going and I'll have your guests laughing, which is exactly when the best photos happen. You can message me any time with questions, big or small.

Is 7 hours enough for a wedding photographer?
Yes, it can be for a small wedding or elopement, it may not capture every part of the day but will capture the main traditions of a wedding.
Do you tip a wedding photographer?
It is not required, but a small thank you in some way can be nice, even a card, or something to show your appreciation can go a long way.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12 to 24 months ahead, and I take bookings up to 2 years in advance.
Can we have photos around Durham city?
Yes. The Cathedral, Palace Green and the riverside make amazing backdrops, and I'll help you plan the timing on the day.
Do you charge travel within County Durham?
No. Travel is included in all my wedding packages, wherever you are in County Durham.
