Eilidh & Darren’s Gorgeous Wedding at Le Petit Chateau
Some weddings just hit different – and Eilidh & Darren’s day at Le Petit Chateau was one of those. A perfect mix of style, fun, and those proper heart-squeeze moments. This Northumberland gem of a venue never disappoints, and on this day, it was absolute magic from start to finish.
That French fairytale vibe (with a Northern soul)
Le Petit Chateau is one of those venues that makes you feel like you've stepped into another world – rustic French charm with a quirky twist, and Eilidh & Darren leaned right into it. From the twinkling chandeliers to the blooming gardens, it was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that felt totally them: full of joy, full of heart, and full of laughs.
The ceremony took place in the Belle Époque – candlelit, intimate and totally stunning. Eilidh looked incredible, and you could feel the excitement buzzing between them both. When the doors opened and she walked in? Not a dry eye.
Just married – time to celebrate
After the “I do’s”, it was straight out into the sunshine (yes, actual sunshine – a Northumberland miracle) for fizz, and hugs. These two were surrounded by the loveliest bunch – everyone just so up for it. The kind of crowd who cheer, hug, dance and aren’t afraid to absolutely go for it when the music kicks off.
I always say the best photos come when people forget the camera’s even there, and this lot nailed it.
Portraits that feel like you
Later on, we snuck away for a little wander – nothing formal or stiff, just the two of them taking a breather while I tagged along with my camera.what else can I say about, Le Petit Chateau it has some proper dreamy spots for portraits, but the best bit? Eilidh & Darren just being themselves. No awkward posing. Just laughs, cuddles, and a cheeky glass of fizz in hand.
And then came the champagne spray – iconic. Darren shook that bottle like a pro and let it fly, with Eilidh laughing next to him, completely soaked in bubbles and loving every second. The cheers were loud, the energy was wild, and the photos? Pure gold. It was messy, hilarious, and one of those moments that totally sums up the day: full of life, full of fun, and completely unforgettable.
Party time: unleashed
Now this dancefloor was something else. From the first dance right through to the late-night bangers, it was nonstop. The energy was wild – the kind of night where you lose your voice singing along and end up barefoot by the end. Honestly, it’s what weddings are all about.
