Planning Confetti On Your Wedding Day

So today I want to write about confetti at a wedding yes, confetti I love this part of the day and photo.

Now confetti photos, may or may not be aloud by your venue, so first of all, please always check with your venue that it is allowed, and if it is, just double check if there's any restrictions, for example, the location or the type, more venues who allow it will probably say something like they need to be biodegradable, which is no problem because you can get amazing choices with biodegradable confetti.

So you've checked this now don't forget this goes for your church ceremonies as well.

Once you have the go ahead and you are looking for your confetti, a few really helpful tips would be, first of all, the type of confetti, which is going to be the best choice, is the paper, rice paper, again, make sure it's biodegradable, but the reason I choose and prefer the rice paper is because it floats in the air longer, it doesn't drop quickly like dried flowers, so that helps create someone amazing images from this tip alone.

So remember that is rice paper, confetti is my biggest tip, the colour doesn’t matter this can be your favourite colour or the colours that go with the them of your wedding, it's whatever you prefer.

The second tip for a great confetti photo is always going to be, get lots of it, when you think you've got enough, you probably need to get more.

Yes, that's right. More!

You need lots of it . Now that was a quick tip, but the third tip is very, very important as well.

Don't waste your time and money to put it in little bags because it is hard to throw the confetti and you won't get that amazing shot either. Just put it in a big basket and then just ask one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen to hand it out as everyone is lining up and make sure everyone gets a big, big handful.

Okay, so we've all got a big handful, maybe two if possible, and if there is sum left in the basket that's even better maybe one of the groomsmen or bridesmaids wants to hold the rest of that basket you've got of confetti, and they can just dump the rest on the end that can be quite a funny photo as well.

Now, the next thing we need to be aware of is location.

Now, sometimes we've got no options, depending on venues as they may have restrictions, but I'll always choose the best location if I have freedom of choice.

Ideally, we want shade, we want nice dark background, so the confetti pops. We don't want a bright sky behind you because it can sometimes disappear into the background. If it's a bright day, unless it's a cloudy day, that's okay.

This is 2 tips in one, enjoy yourself smile, look up and even go for a kiss halfway down, I know what you are thinking "enjoy ourselves!" you would be surprised how you can be destracted at this part but have fun with it punch the air get your flowers up high and go have fun!

If it has to be inside as long as its a bright area that will still work too.

Now that's my tips on confetti not long and not hard but well worth doing if you want that amazing confetti photo on your wedding.

A little bonus tip is to ask your guest to thro the confetti up high above you and not at you but I always make a little announcement letting them know so don’t worry about this tip but good to know if your photographer is bit quite.

I hope this helps and here is a few images you might like to see from the I have created on some amazing wedding days with my amazing couples
