A Beautiful Day at Runa Farm, Lauren & Andrew’s Heartfelt Wedding

What an absolute joy it was to capture Lauren and Andrew’s wedding at Runa Farm, near Barnard Castle! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this day was going to be full of emotion, love, and plenty of personal touches. As a photographer, it’s moments like these I love and look for.

Runa Farm, tucked away in the stunning countryside, provided the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Andrew’s special day. The rustic charm of the venue, with its gorgeous barns and sweeping views, made for an idyllic setting, and the couple couldn’t have chosen a better place to tie the knot.

A Very Special Walk Down the Aisle

One of the most moving moments of the day came right at the beginning when Lauren’s son, Lucas walked her down the aisle. It was a beautiful, quiet moment between mother and son, filled with so much love and pride. Seeing Lauren’s face as she gazed down at her son, and then the two of them walking together towards Andrew, was something special. You could feel the bond between them, and it set the tone for the whole day.

The Emotional Groom

As Lauren made her way towards Andrew, you could tell he was already completely overcome with emotion. He didn’t try to hide it – and honestly, that made it even more beautiful. There were a few tears as he looked at his bride, and I couldn’t help but feel a lump in my throat myself. It was clear that for Andrew, this was a moment he’d been waiting for, and the love between the two of them was undeniable. More tears came throughout the ceremony.

The Ceremony, Personal and Intimate

The ceremony hear at Runa Farm is held in the Chapel. Their ceremony was intimate and full of personal touches. The couple’s vows were heartfelt, with a mix of laughter and tears from both sides. You could see how much thought they’d put into their words, and it made for such an authentic and emotional exchange. The way Lauren looked at Andrew as he spoke his vows – and the little chuckle they shared, raw moment from the start. And even more of a personal touch was when Lucas read a lovely reading to them.

The Reception: Pure Joy

After the ceremony, we headed outside for some relaxed photos, taking full advantage of Runa Farm’s stunning grounds. The sun came out just at the right time, casting a warm glow over everything. Lauren and Andrew were naturals in front of the camera, and I could tell they were just so happy to be surrounded by their loved ones.

The reception was a laid-back celebration of their love, filled with laughter, speeches. I particularly loved how close-knit their families seemed – it was clear they all cared deeply for one another, and that made the day even more special. There was a lovely, easy-going vibe throughout the whole day, from the speeches to the first dance, which ended in a flurry of laughter as their friends joined in.

Lauren and Andrew, thank you for letting me be a part of your incredible day. It’s couples like you that remind me why I love being a wedding photographer – there’s nothing better than capturing these genuine, emotional moments that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. From the sweet moments with your son to the tears of joy, it was an absolute pleasure to document your wedding.

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and plenty of more tears (the happy kind, of course!). I hope your wedding photos bring back all the magic of the day for years to come.

Until next time Runa FArm!
