Kielder Water Wedding

Yes, yes, yes, yes, I know what you are thinking why would you start anything like this, well let me tell you why. I have never been to Kielder, Kielder Water or anywhere nearby but wow that will change even if I don't come back to do a wedding here I will come for a few days with my family, It’s beautiful! I would love to come back here so please if you are getting married here get in touch!

Laura got in touch, via email then we spoke on the phone and that was enough for them to book me and I was excited to meet them on the day, so I arrived extra early to do that and what a lovely couple, I knew straight away it was going to be a great day from that point as if any of other weddings I photograph is any different! 

The Wedding Day

I was there to catch them just after the bridal prep, and they all looked stunning, they were all having a great time and I love capturing the fun times as well as the emotional ones and every moment in between.

The wedding was in a Tipi set in the beautiful grounds of Kielder water. The men were all dressed in kilts and let me put it this way, there was some who did it properly and some had shorts underneath, yes it was a great day and lots of fun as you can imagine.

The ceremony started with one of their guests singing, and may I add beautifully too, They all looked amazing and throughout the ceremony, there was plenty of smiles and laughter, it was truly a celebration of two people madly in love, with each other.

Wedding Portraits

The venue gave us a golf buggy and a driver to go around and to do their wedding portraits the smiles, fun, and love from the ceremony didn't stop, which meant unbelievable photos. After this, we carried on with their friends but down by the lake where you guessed it more fun.

Wedding Speeches

Well what can I say, the speeches, they carried on, the fun and love, that we have had all day so far from the wedding, don't worry some great embarrassing moments with a key ring that everyone got, even me ( I love been given something from the day) I will leave it there those who where there will be the only ones that know? 

Dance Floor

Laura & Bryce, love music so do their friends and family, I found this out as I witness some amazing moments on the dance floor, the Tipi always adds a little more when it comes to some moments and this was one of them.

The Couple

Bryce is from Shetland and has lived in Newcastle since he was 13 and is a senior social worker. Laura is from near Gatwick and moved up from living in London and is a teacher/early years lead. They met, at a rave and then again on a night out!

I asked them when, how, who and where did the question got popped?

Bryce asked Laura in Warkworth by the riverside in February 2019

They choose Kielder Water, well firstly they were originally going to have the wedding on the island of Vis in Croatia but due to covid, they decided it was too risky! they wanted to find somewhere else relaxed and bohemian where they could be away with all our friends and family for several days. "We love Kielder and are even happier with the new venue!"

Why did you choose me as your photographer?

You look very happy and friendly in your photos and Laura judges things on that rather than actual facts haha! We also loved your photos and after a phone call knew you'd fit in well on the day!
