Couples Portrait

A romantic wedding couple shares joyful moments together in a garden setting with brick walls and lush greenery.

Couple portraits. Time to breathe.

Couple portraits are usually the first time you get a few quiet minutes together on your wedding day. No guests needing you. No timeline pressure. Just the two of you stepping away for a short while and letting everything sink in. It is calm, easy and often a welcome pause in the middle of a busy day.

What couple portraits are really about

These photos are not about stiff posing or pretending to be models. They are about you being yourselves.

Walking hand in hand.

Having a quiet chat.

Laughing at something daft.

Taking a moment to realise you are actually married.

The best portraits come from real connection, not from being told exactly where to put your hands.

Photograph you together

I keep things simple and relaxed.I will give gentle direction when needed, mainly to help with light and positioning, then let you move and interact naturally. Most of the time you will just be chatting, walking or standing close together while I capture what happens. If something feels awkward, we change it. If something feels good, we lean into it. There is no pressure to perform.

Keeping it quick and easy

You will not be away from your guests for long. Portraits usually take a short window of time and can be spread out across the day if that suits you better. A few minutes after the ceremony. A quick wander later on. Maybe a quiet moment as the light softens. It never needs to feel like a big production.

Using the surroundings

I always use what is already there.

Interesting light.

A quiet corner.

A beautiful backdrop.

There is no dragging you miles away or turning the day into a photoshoot. Everything stays connected to the flow of your wedding.

If the weather behaves, amazing. If it does not, we work with it and still make something great.

These photos matter

These are often the images you frame, print and come back to the most. They show the two of you exactly as you were on the day. Relaxed. Happy. Together. They capture how it felt to step away for a moment and just be with each other, in the middle of everything. That is why couple portraits are always photographed in a way that feels natural, unforced and true to you.
