Yorkshire Wedding Barn With ALEX & RUTH’S For a FUN-FILLED

Celebration – Starring Macky!

What. A. Day.

And I am back, I have been coming to Yorkshire Wedding Barn for over 4 years and this year well this my 4 wedding here in 7 week!

Alex & Ruth’s wedding at the incredible Yorkshire Wedding Barn was one of those days that just bursts with joy. Pure sunshine, loads of laughter, proper good vibes – and, of course, their gorgeous dog Macky padding around like the little legend he is. I’d already had the pleasure of photographing their legal ceremony a few weeks earlier, so it felt even more relaxed this time around. No pressure, just a big ol’ party with a whole lotta love.

Sunshine, confetti and celebrant vibes

The whole day had that laid-back, anything-goes feel that I absolutely love. No stress, just people genuinely having the best time. Ruth and Alex had chosen to go with a celebrant-led ceremony – and honestly, what a brilliant decision. It was full of personality, stories, and laughs. You could tell every part of it was totally “them”.

The sun was blazing (not always guaranteed in Yorkshire, but we’ll take it!) which meant everyone was outside soaking it all in – drinks, chats, and some serious confetti throwing. No one held back. Just how I like it.

Macky – the real VIP

Now, I can’t talk about this wedding without giving Macky the spotlight he 100% deserves. This dog is a total heart-stealer. He was there for cuddles, a few surprise zoomies, and generally being the Goodest Boy. I love it when couples bring their dog along – they’re family too, right?

Macky even got in on the portrait action later in the day, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he nailed it.

Golden light and good times

Yorkshire Wedding Barn is such a stunning spot – wide open skies, gorgeous scenery, and space to really enjoy the day. When the golden hour hit, it was chef’s kiss. We took a stroll, just the three of us (plus Macky, obviously), and got some beautiful, relaxed portraits. No awkward posing – just natural moments as the sun dipped behind the fields.

Then it was back inside for some seriously enthusiastic dancefloor action. Alex & Ruth’s crew came ready to party – and they delivered. Feet off the ground, drinks in hand, arms in the air kind of night. Exactly how it should be.

A day that felt like them

Honestly, this one was a joy from start to finish. The perfect mix of love, fun, sunshine and just doing things your way. Huge congrats to Alex & Ruth – and a belly rub for Macky, of course.

Here’s to many more days this fun.
