Tucked away behind the old city walls, Secret Tower is one of Newcastle’s most hidden little gems—perfect for couples who want something a bit different. I was buzzing to be here my first time too for Dave & Hayley’s wedding, and the day didn’t disappoint. It had everything: chilled vibes, emotional moments, killer views, and it was just fun all the way through.
The day started with prep not far from the venue, and there was already a sense it was going to be a laid-back, no-stress kind of day. Dave was cool as anything, Hayley looked incredible, and as soon as the two of them saw each other at the ceremony, you could just feel how right it all was.
Secret Tower is such a brilliant spot for a Newcastle wedding. You’ve got those epic views over the Tyne, loads of natural light for photos, and that modern-meets-historic atmosphere that really suits relaxed, untraditional weddings. We didn’t have to go far for photos either—there’s so much character right on the doorstep, and I grabbed a few quick portraits without dragging the couple away for ages.
After the ceremony, it was all about great food, flowing drinks, and catching up with the people they love most. No rigid schedules, no fuss—just a proper celebration. Speeches were full of laughter (and the odd happy tear), and the evening kicked off with a packed dancefloor (stayed like this for hours!) and some brilliant shapes being thrown..
