Northumberland Wedding Venues, From a Photographer Who's Been There
Choosing a wedding venue in Northumberland isn't easy, there are so many beautiful options. As a documentary wedding photographer, I've photographed weddings all over the county, so rather than list every castle you've already heard of, these are ten venues I've actually worked at and would happily recommend. They're in no particular order, and each one links to real weddings I've photographed there.

01. Healey Barn
A beautiful stone barn near Riding Mill, and one I keep coming back to, with 5 weddings here so far. The woods and the field just outside are perfect for couple photos, and the barn itself is a must even when it's dry. If it rains, it works brilliantly for family photos too.
02. Le Petit Château
Near Otterburn, and one of my favourites, with at least 7 weddings photographed here. The house is the most popular spot for photos, but the fountain and gardens are gorgeous. If it rains, the bar and the chapel both work really well.
03. Newton Hall
Close to the coast at Newton by the Sea. I've photographed several weddings here, including Mollie & Jordan and Hayleigh & Kieran, and it's a venue that loves a proper party.
04. Charlton Hall
One of the most characterful venues in north Northumberland. Have a look at Lauren & Cole's colourful wedding to see what I mean.
05. Halton Grove

06. Woodhill Hall

07. Horton Grange
Just north of Newcastle, and a venue that really suits my documentary style. See my Horton Grange highlights.
08. Eshott Hall
A stunning country house near Morpeth, and a great choice if you want grand rooms and lovely grounds in one place.
09. Matfen Hall
A grand country estate west of Newcastle, with plenty of space for photos inside and out.
10. Doxford Hall
In north Northumberland, a beautiful hotel venue with lovely grounds for relaxed couple photos.
